The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center are leaders and innovators in the clinical treatment of children and adults with Rett syndrome and related conditions and research innovators from basic discovery to preclinical research to clinical trials and interventions.

Our Rett Syndrome Program is designated as a Rett Syndrome Clinical Research Center of Excellence by, one of only 14 sites nationwide to receive this designation.

Our clinical team has expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of children with Rett syndrome and related disorders. Our approach focuses on precision care—the right intervention for the right individual at the right time.

Our research team leads innovative studies in mechanisms underlying Rett syndrome and related disorders, and studies to develop biomedical, pharmacological, and educational interventions to improve lives.
